Liturgical Ministries

The word "liturgy" stems from the Greek word "leitourgia" which has an original meaning of "public duty", or service.  In a Christian context, we can understand "leitourgia" to reference our duty to serve our God through public gatherings, often called liturgies.  As Catholics, we identify the highest of liturgies to be the Mass.  Many of the Liturgical Ministries offered at St. John's are opportunities for lay persons to serve our God in the Holy Mass.  In addition, there are other related ministries offered as well.  We invite you to browse through them to find one that is right for you.
