Saturday Singers

Music in Catholic worship is expressed in many styles.  The Saturday Singers are a group of parishioners of any age and who come together to sing on alternating Saturday evenings at the 5 p.m. Mass.  A great deal of the repertoire of this group is more contemporary Christian music found in the Hymnal series "Spirit and Song", published by Oregon Catholic Press, among others in addition to the newest liturgical music being published.  It is not uncommon to see and hear with this group a broad array of instrumentalists using everything from bass guitar, synthesizer, to drums that together brings a distinct and lively sound to the Mass.  The Saturday Singers practice at 4 p.m. in the church on the same day they sing.  New people are always welcome.
