"In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" - Matthew 28:19.
This initial sacrament frees us from sin through God's sanctifying grace. Through the waters of Baptism the Holy Spirit seals us as belonging to Christ. Baptism is the foundation of communion between all Christians.
Parents who wish to have their children baptized at St. John's must be registered members of the parish and attend a Baptism preparation class. The one-session class is offered on the second Monday of the month at 7:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend the class before their baby is born. There is no cost to attend but pre-registration is necessary. Call the parish office to register at 952.890.9465.
Baptisms are on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays.
Parents who have baptized their children in another Christian faith, or their child(ren) is 7-years old or older, and would like for their children to prepare for Catholic sacraments should contact Andi Little at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 952.890.9434.
