Pastoral Care involves providing parishioners spiritual, emotional, and social support. There are a variety of different ways that our parishioners can be both involved in offering support and/or receiving support. St. John's offers compassionate support in a variety of ways. Perhaps you need extra prayers as you are facing a challenging set of circumstances; or maybe you've lost a loved one or a spouse. St. John's offers a loving and welcoming place for all of your special needs. In addition, we welcome your helping hands to care for others in a way that is meaningful to you. If you or someone you know is homebound and unable to attend Mass, but would like to receive the Holy Eucharist, please contact Beth or call the parish office. The Respect Life ministry, works to build a culture of life in our Parish by our Christian example, and advocacy for life. We will stand up for the unborn, the elderly, dying and disabled. Our Pillowcase Dress Ministry is a unique ministry opportunity to provide clothing for children around the world. Members of our faith community donate pillowcases to this group who then use their sewing talents to create beautiful dresses out of these pillowcases. A Christ Centered Bereavement Program: Mourning the loss of someone you love is never easy, but there is hope. This program, rooted in Catholic traditions, conveys God’s consolation through scripture prayer, reflection, and sharing our faith. St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church partners with TreeHouse to support the local Savage program where teens struggling with life issues come together to share a meal before entering into discussion groups led by TreeHouse volunteer group leaders. The purpose of this mission is to provide a safe place to talk through problems or issues facing these teens in a supportive atmosphere. Adults can sign up to volunteer HERE.
